Hama, SANA – Authorities uncovered an ammunition depot in Akrab village in the far southwestern countryside of Hama.
SANA’s reporter in Hama said that an ammunition depot, medicine and medical equipment, a sniper rifle, a PKC machine gun, a mortar launcher, and a number of mortar shells were discovered by an engineering unit from the Internal Security Forces while combing the village of Akrab.
The reporter added that authorities are working on demining all cities, towns, and villages in the northern countryside of Homs and the southern countryside of Hama in order to secure the safe return for citizens after these areas were announced clear of terrorism on May 16.
