Damascus, SANA – Under the title “Syrian women achieve glory… Martyr’s mother”, the Ministry of Culture opened its first monthly symposium at al-Assad National Library with the participation of a number of mothers who sacrificed their beloved sons to defend the homeland.
The symposium shed light on real stories of Syrian heroes who gave away their souls to confront the terrorist war waged on their country.
In a statement to journalists, Assistant Minister of Culture, Ali al-Mubaiyed, said that the ministry has a clear and important vision in the strategy of its work that is based on preserving Syria’s cultural identity and enhancing noble human values, on the top of which is martyrdom.
A number of mothers recalled memories of their sons, adding that they share the same pain, suffering, strength and determination to stay alive.
