Finance Minister underlines necessity of activating agreements signed with Lebanon

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Finance Maamoun Hamdan underlined the deep-rooted relations binding Syria and Lebanon, indicating that the Syrian government has always been working on realizing the interests of the two countries despite all circumstances.

Hamdan’s remarks came during a meeting held Wednesday with Lebanon’s Ambassador in Damascus Saad Zakhia.

For his part, Ambassador Zakhia talked about the economic and brotherly relations binding the two countries, expressing Lebanon’s readiness to participate in the reconstruction stage in Syria.

He noted that despite of the crisis which was imposed on Syria, thousands of Lebanese people still visit Damascus.

The two sides agreed on the necessity of activating the agreements signed between Syria and Lebanon.
