Tuesday weather: Temperatures to drop, rainfalls expected

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop to become around average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by a cold and wet air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to rainy in most areas and rainfalls will be heavy and accompanied by thunder sometimes while snow will fall over the mountains.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with a moderate speed to become active with a speed of 60 km per hour while the sea waves will be medium to high in amplitude.

Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Homs 21 mm, Hama 45mm, Tartous 46 mm, Lattakia 82 mm, Aleppo 6mm, Sweida 35 mm and Quneitra 12mm.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 13/4, Daraa 14/6, Homs 12/4, Lattakia 16/110, Aleppo 12/3 and Deir Ezzor 14/5.
