Syria requests preferential treatment for goods flow into Algerian market

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Mohammad Samer al-Khalil discussed on Thursday with Algerian Ambassador in Damascus Saleh Bosha possibilities of enhancing trade exchange
and determining the goods list to flow between Syria and Algeria.

Minister al-Khalil said some Syrian goods need preferential treatment to enter the Algerian markets to strengthen its position, referring to the ministry’s ongoing work seeking the formation of businessmen councils, including a Syrian-Algerian businessmen council.

He pointed out that the Syrian economic side will determine a package of products and goods to be exported to the Algerian market.

For his part, Bosha said Algeria is interested in the investment and trade exchange with Syria, in addition to determining the sectors to work on and ideas to be applied so that proposals can be presented during exchanged visits of delegations from both sides.
