Economy Minister: 80 % of products back into export

Damascus, SANA – Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Mohammad Samer al-Khalil said 80 percent of Syrian products are back on the track of exporting.

During a meeting with the Sudanese Ambassador in Damascus Khaled Ahmad Mohammad Ali, Minister al-Khalil stressed that Syria’s economy is recovering as shown through the “good” indications in all sectors.

Despite the war on the country, the Syrian exports still reach around 90 countries around the world, said al-Kahlil, adding that 80 % of products are back into export which indicates that most of the production sectors have been back to work.

He noted that some 2500 facilities are under construction at the Industrial City of Adra and 1000 handicraft facilities in Damascus Countryside that will enter the production line.

Discussions with the Sudanese Ambassador focused on improving bilateral relations in the economic field so as to increase trade exchange and enhance flow of goods between the two countries.
