Rome, SANA- Pope Leo XIV described the terrorist attack on Mar Elias Church in Al-Douweila area of Damascus, which killed 25 people and injured 63, as a “vile”.
During his weekly general audience in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican on Wednesday, the Pope expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and his hope for a speedy recovery for the injured.
The Pope pointed out that this tragic event requires the international community to continue supporting Syria to achieve peace and stability.
