Arab Group at Security Council condemns Israeli violation of Syrian territory

New York, SANA- The Arab Group in Security Council condemned the Israeli aggression on Syrian territory, stressing that these acts are considered a flagrant violation of international law and also of Syria’s sovereignty, and a dangerous escalation that will only contribute to increase tension and conflict in the region

During a session on follow-up to the implementation of Resolution “2334” regarding Israeli settlements and violations in occupied Palestinian territories, UN Jordan’s Representative, Ambassador Mahmoud al-Hamoud, delivered a speech on behalf of Arab Group, calling on international community and Security Council to take immediate action to implement international law and compel Israel to stop aggression and withdraw from the Syrian territories.

Jordanian Representative underlined that the Golan is occupied Syrian territory, and he stressed the Arab group’s rejection of Israel’s decision to impose its sovereignty over it.
