Daraa, June 28 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces on Saturday advanced into the town of Maariya in the Yarmouk Basin area of western Daraa province in southern Syria, reaching the village of Abidin and Tal al-Maghar.

SANA’s reporter in the province said a force comprising four military vehicles moved from al-Jazeera barracks toward Maariya before advancing to Abidin village and later heading to the Tal al-Maghar area. He added that the force set up tents near Tal al-Maghar in Abidin village and opened fire toward surrounding agricultural land.

The latest incursion came a day after eight Israeli military vehicles entered the town of Jamla, where the forces deployed across several neighborhoods and searched a number of civilian homes.

Israel continues to violate the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through repeated incursions into southern Syria and attacks on civilians, including raids, arrests, land bulldozing and shelling.

Syria reiterates that all measures taken by the Israeli occupation forces on Syrian territory are null and void and have no legal effect under international law. It renewed its call on the international community to assume its responsibilities, put an end to these violations and ensure Israel’s full withdrawal from southern Syria.
