Riyadh, Oct. 2 (SANA) A projectile launched by Houthi forces struck a school in the southern Saudi city of Najran on Friday, causing material damage, the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Civil Defense emergency response units in Najran arrived on site to manage the impact of the hostile projectile, according to an official statement by the Saudi Civil Defense spokesperson cited by SPA. Authorities confirmed that standardized emergency management protocols were immediately executed. No injuries were reported.
The incident follows a statement by Saudi Civil Defense on Thursday reporting minor property damage in Khamis Mushait caused by falling shrapnel after Saudi air defense forces intercepted a Houthi ballistic missile.
Southern Saudi border regions, particularly Najran and Khamis Mushait, face recurring cross-border strikes involving projectiles and ballistic missiles launched by Houthi forces, with Saudi authorities routinely intercepting incoming threats and responding to debris impacts in populated zones.
