Quneitra, June 2 (SANA) Israeli occupation forces detained a young man in Ain Ziwan village in the southern Quneitra countryside early Tuesday after a unit of 10 military vehicles entered the area and raided several homes.
The detention follows an incident last Sunday in which a young man was shot by Israeli forces while herding sheep in the Wadi al-Raqad area in the western Daraa countryside.
Israel continues violations of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement through incursions into southern Syria, including raids, arrests, land bulldozing, and shelling targeting civilians.
Syria has reiterated its demand for the withdrawal of Israeli forces from its territory, stating that all Israeli measures in southern Syria are null and void under international law. It also has called on the international community to assume its responsibilities, deter such practices, and compel Israel to fully withdraw from southern Syria.
