Lattakia, SANA – The fifth ship, loaded with 15,000 tons of wheat, was unloaded on Sunday in the presence of the Director of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection in Lattakia and Tartous, Abdul Wahab Safar.
Safar conducted a field tour to inspect the unloading mechanism, where he stated to SANA that the unloading operations of ships are subject to precise procedures due to their connection to the dates of transportation to the governorates, milling scheduling, and the delivery of flour to the bakeries.
The current ship carries 15,000 tons of wheat and is part of a series of supplies that arrived in Syria after liberation, which included four previous vessels loaded with about 100,000 tons of wheat, as part of a national plan aimed at strengthening food security and providing the essential staple for citizens.
