WASHINGTON, Jan. 6 (SANA) Telegram has rolled out its first major update of 2026, introducing new artificial intelligence tools and a redesigned interface for iOS, the company announced.
The update allows users to quickly summarize long posts and articles, helping them grasp key points without reading the entire text. Telegram said the summaries are generated using open-source AI models on its decentralized Cocoon network, which encrypts all AI requests to protect user privacy.
Beyond AI enhancements, the iOS interface now features a “liquid glass” design, incorporating transparency, light refraction effects, and smoother visual layers, resulting in a lighter, more modern appearance. Users can adjust the intensity of visual effects through power-saving settings to improve performance and reduce battery consumption.
Reflecting on 2025, Telegram reported introducing more than 75 new features across 13 major updates. Updates were released on average every 26 days, with some arriving as quickly as eight days apart, demonstrating the company’s rapid development cycle.
