Moscow, SANA – Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Tayyip Recep Erdogan had a telephone conversation on Wednesday discussing the situation in Aleppo.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov confirmed to RIA Novosti state news agency that the call took place.
Peskov said that Putin and Erdogan “ put emphasis on the importance of a buildup of joint efforts to improve the humanitarian situation in Aleppo and to give a start to a political process in Syria in practical terms,” adding that the two sides” reaffirmed readiness for further joint actions to neutralize the terrorist threat in the Middle Eastern region.”
