Damascus, SANA – During its session on Tuesday, the People’s Assembly continued discussing the government financial statement on the draft state budget for 2017.

Speaker of the Assembly Hadiyeh Abbas called for presenting solutions and visions to help in securing additional revenue to support the state general budget.

A number of MPs highlighted the importance of taking effective measures to reduce burdens on the citizens and meet their livelihood needs, in parallel with working on implementing administrative reform, fighting corruption and controlling markets.
