Moscow, SANA- A diplomatic source said on Friday that the UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura will meet Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US State Secretary John Kerry in Geneva next week.
The source told Novosti news agency that de Mistura is planning to meet the two ministers who may meet for talks in Geneva on August 26-27.
The source said that such meetings usually give a very strong signal to all parties involved in the process of crisis settlement in Syria, hoping that the talks between the two ministers will give impetus to the peace process and create the conditions for a new round of Syrian talks in the first half of next September.
