Terrorists violate cessation of hostilities agreement four more times

Lattakia, SANA – The cessation of hostilities agreement was breached four times by terrorist groups in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of breaches to 803 since the agreement came into effect on 27 February, the Russian center monitoring the agreement said on Friday.

The Russian center, based in Hmeimim airbase in Lattakia, added in a statement that the so-called Jaish al-Islam terrorists targeted with rocket and mortar shells a number of towns in Damascus countryside.

The statement said that the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists continue their attempts to foil the agreement through targeting al-Sheikh Maqsoud, al-Khaldiyeh and al-Zahra neighborhoods in Aleppo.

The cessation of hostilities agreement does not include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra and other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
