Moscow, SANA- Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov and Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Riad Haddad discussed the latest developments in Syria, ways of finding political solution to the crisis in the country and means of enhancing bilateral relations.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the two sides discussed the political settlement for the crisis in Syria through a Syrian-Syrian dialogue on the basis of International Security Council resolution no 2254 ,  resolutions of International Syria Support Group and Geneva Communiqué .

The meeting also dealt with vital issues related to bilateral relations between Russia and Syria and means of developing them, the statement added.
