Geneva, SANA- Health Minister Dr. Nizar Yazigi said on Thursday that the health conditions of the Syrian citizens in the occupied Golan continue to deteriorate despite repeated calls by the Syrian government on the international organizations to pressure Israeli occupation authorities to improve their health conditions.
The minister was speaking during the 69th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) at the UN headquarters in Geneva in which the participants discussed health conditions in Palestine and the occupied Syrian Golan.
Yazigi pointed out that the Israeli occupation has gone too far in depriving the people of the occupied Golan of their rights to have health services because of the lack of integrated health centers in the occupied Golan, adding that the occupation authorities continue to prevent the Syrian citizens, mainly patients, from getting medical treatment and care services.
The 69th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA) kicked off in Geneva last Monday. Syria is participating in the Assembly’s meetings along with the 194 member states and the representatives of international organizations and donors.
