Daraa, SANA-Daraa Governorate distributed on Thursday humanitarian aid delivered by the Russian government to the families of Khibab town in Daraa countryside.
In a statement to reporters, Daraa Governor Mohamed Khaled al-Hannous hailed the role of Russia in supporting the Syrian Arab Army in combating terrorism in parallel with providing humanitarian aid to enhance the steadfastness of the Syrian people.
In turn, Director of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation in the southern region pointed out that the humanitarian aid that was distributed today reflects the Russian determination to help the Syrians in combating terrorism.
For her part, Nibal al-Hariri, head of Daraa Social Affairs Directorate, said that the aid includes 800 food packages, 100 health baskets and 100 packages for children.
In turn, the families of Khibab town thanked the Russian people and government for delivering humanitarian aid to Syrians.
During the past few weeks, aid delivered by Russia was distributed in cooperation with Daraa governorate among the locals of the villages and towns of Jbab, Izraa and Qarfa.
