Damascus, SANA-Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban said on Wednesday that al-Quds Cultural Day is part of the resistance against the Zionist project which aims at eliminating the Arab civilization, history and identity.
Shaaban, who is the head of the board of trustees of al-Quds Foundation/Syria/, made these remarks at a press statement following a lecture as part of al-Quds Cultural Day event that the foundation launched today. The event will be held periodically on the last Wednesday of every month.
“This lecture is coming as part of al-Quds Cultural Wednesday which is a monthly cultural event that aims at supporting Jerusalem cause and drawing attention to the need to stand with Jerusalem in facing the Judaization of this great city and its holy sites, especially al-Aqsa Mosque,” Shaaban added.
She stressed the importance of resistance against the Zionist project that is seeking to destroy Iraq, Syria, Libya, Yemen and the entire Arab world.
The lecture was delivered by the Assistant Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine- General Command Talal Naji at al-Assad National Library, in which Naji briefed the audience on the history of al-Quds city.
