Damascus, SANA- Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Humam al-Jazaeri and Algerian Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and Arab League Abdelkader Messahel signed on Monday the minutes of the meetings of Syrian-Algerian committee for economic cooperation, which sets the general framework for joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields, mainly commercial, industrial, and scientific fields.
Al-Jazaeri affirmed the importance of enhancing Syrian-Algerian relations to serve the interests of the two peoples, pointing to the Algerian position in supporting Syria and the close ties which bring the people of the two countries together.
In turn, Messahel pointed out that the two sides are working on determining the basic themes of bilateral cooperation in various fields, finding the means to provide promising prospects, and developing a road map for a future work plan to improve the level of cooperation.
He added that Algeria will continue to support Syria in combating terrorism and extremism, expressing his country’s solidarity with Syria in combating the terrorist aggression which affects all the segments of the Syrian society and that aims at destroying the pillars of the state.
