Damascus, SANA- Algerians residing in Syria continue to turn up at the Algerian Embassy in Damascus to cast their votes in their country’s presidential elections, in which the voting process for residents abroad began last Monday and will conclude today.
Speaking to SANA’s reporter, the Algerian ambassador in Damascus, Kamal Boushama pointed out the great efforts and facilities provided by the Syria government for the Algerian community during the election.
The ambassador underlined the deeply-rooted relations binding the two brotherly countries, Algeria and Syria.
He added that the Algerian presidential elections witnessed remarkable turnout by Algerians in Syria to perform their national duty and choose the ideal person to lead the country and its relations towards prosperity and development.
The presidential elections in Algeria began today, as polling stations opened their doors throughout Algeria for voters to cast their votes in the Algerian presidential elections to choose a new president for the country for a five-year term.
