Damascus, SANA-Information Minister Omran al-Zoubi said the situation in Syria is improving militarily and politically, adding that what has been happening in Syria for five years is a project meant to undermine the Syrian state.

Al-Zoubi’s comments came during his meeting with a delegation of the Syrian community in Sao Paulo in Brazil currently visiting Syria.

“What has been going on for five years in Syria has nothing to do with a revolution or an Arab Spring, but is a US-orchestrated Qatari-Saudi-Turkish project to undermine the Syrian state in service of Israel,” he added.

He said that the terrorist war against Syria is media warfare in large part as evidenced by the fact that part of the sanctions against Syria was halting the broadcast of the Syrian TV on Arabsat and Nilesat.

The delegation members said they are happy to have had the chance to visit Syria, indicating that the Syrian national media has been successful in unmasking the terrorist war waged against Syria.

They hoped that the Syrian News Agency (SANA) will broadcast news in Portuguese to keep the new generation of the Syrian community updated on the situation in their country.
