Russian MOD: Russian helicopter crashes near Homs

Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry reported Tuesday that A Mil Mi-28N helicopter has crashed in Syria while performing a flight near the city of Homs.

On April 12 at 01:29 a helicopter of Russian Air Force was involved in an accident and the two crewmen have died, Russian Defense Ministry’s press-service reported, adding that reports from the crash site indicate the helicopter didn’t come
under fire.

The Press service said the pilots’ bodies were taken to Hemiemim airport where Russian jets, taking part in combating terrorism, are based.
