Damascus, SANA – Rainbow Choir, conducted by Hussam Eddin Brimo, performed a concert titled “Silk Road” at the Opera House (Dar Al-Assad for Culture and Arts) in Damascus, which was attended by the French parliamentary delegation currently visiting Syria.
The Choir delivered a high level performance, singing songs from different nations that existed along the Silk Road from China to Rome passing through Syria in 15 languages: Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Indonesian, Indian, Kazakh, Kurdish, Syriac, Aramaic, Greek, Hungarian, German, Italian, Armenian, and Persian.
In a statement to SANA, conductor Brimo said that today’s concert is a tribute to the ancient city of Palmyra which stands in the middle of the Silk Road and which brought together the cultures of the civilizations that exited along it.
