Damascus, SANA – Health Minister Nizar Yazigi discussed with the Regional Director of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) Samuel Rizq means to develop a joint work strategy to meet health needs in conformity with the ministry’s vision and the priorities in most needy areas.

Yazigi stressed the importance of enhancing cooperation and raising the level of coordination between the Ministry and UN organizations working in the health field to support the Syrian health sector and help it meet the basic and emerging needs in all areas.

In turn, Rizq expressed the organization’s readiness to support the health sector in Syria and work to secure the required needs and reach beneficiaries, in addition to implementing a number of training and rehabilitation programs.
