Moscow, SANA – Russian President’s special envoy for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov discussed during a telephone call with his Iranian counterpart Hussein Amir Abdullahian the developments related to the settlement in Syria.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the two sides discussed a number of issues related to the settlement of the crisis in Syria, including efforts by the UN Special Envoy to Syria Staffan de Mistura to launch the Syrian-Syrian negotiations in Geneva late in January.
On Monday, Bogdanov discussed with the Syrian ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad means to find a political solution to the crisis by launching a broad Syrian-Syrian dialogue without preconditions.
