Tehran, SANA- Syria’s Grand Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun asserted the victory of the Syrian people and leadership in confronting the plans hatched against Syria by the hegemonic countries that have failed during the last five years in front of the Syrian people steadfastness.
Meeting the Iranian Deputy Foreign for Arab and African Affairs Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian in Tehran on Thursday, Hassoun hailed the important steps adopted by the Iranian Islamic Revolution which supported the rights of the Muslims and the vulnerable people in the world.
Amir Abdollahian, for his part, underlined Tehran’s continued support for the Syrian people and government in efforts to push terrorists out of their country.
He voiced Iran’s full support for any regional nation against the occupiers and the Takfiri terrorists.
The meeting was attended by Syria’s Ambassador in Iran Adnan Mahmoud.
Mufti Hassoun took part in the 29th Islamic Unity conference that concluded its activities on Tuesday in the Iranian capital of Tehran under the motto “The Challenges facing the Islamic World” with participation of delegations from 70 countries.
