Jableh passenger train station opens

Lattakia, SANA – The Jableh passenger train station was opened on Monday in Lattakia province and the first trip from it to Lattakia city was launched.

Lattakia Governor Ibrahim Khaled al-Salem told SANA that there are two types of trains that will transport passengers: regular and express trains, and there will be two trips per day from Jableh to Lattakia and then to Tartous.

He said this station will help with facilitating transport in the area and relieve the financial burdens for citizens as the tickets will be sold at nominal fees, adding that there will be buses dedicated to transporting students from the train stations to their universities at the cost of only SYP 10 per student.
