The army expands established control areas, kills terrorists’ leaders

Provinces, SANA- The army and armed forces, backed by popular defense groups, achieve more successes in fighting terrorists in different areas of the country by expanding established control areas, killing terrorist organizations’ leaders and destroying their weapons.

Damascus Countryside

An army unit destroyed an ammo depot and a workshop for manufacturing explosive devices used by Jaish al-Islam terrorists in al-Ebb farms and west of al-Ansar mosque in Douma city in the Easter Ghouta part of Damascus Countryside.

Sources on the ground told SANA’s correspondent that the army’s operations in those two areas also resulted in killing a number of terrorists including Fahed Mawaldi, Salem Kaddour, Fadel Razzouq, Abdelrazzaq Debba, and Mohammad Barghouth.

Another army unit carried out an operation between Erbin and Harasta which resulted in the death of terrorists Mokhles al-Rahhal, Hamid al-Tabel, Omar al-Shmali, Yasin al-Shalett, Bassel Zahra, and Hussam Diab, in addition to destroying two vehicles, one of which was equipped with a heavy machinegun.

The army also destroyed three pickup trucks and a bulldozer used by terrorists on the road between Jisrin village and al-Nashabiye town, and eliminated terrorists Mahmoud al-Rejjal, Hasan al-Kanj, Mohammad al-Idelbi, Walid al-Afandi, and Nouri Jamal.

Army units continued to advance in the direction of Nola and Marj al-Sultan and inflicted losses in personnel and equipment on terrorists in the farms of Deir Salman village in the south of the Eastern Ghouta.

In southwest Damascus Countryside, an army unit destroyed hideouts for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Manshiyet Khan al-Sheih.

Daraa

Terrorist leaders killed

An army unit killed Saturday a number of terrorists including terrorist Zouhair Hussein al-Zoubi, one of the the so called leaders of Jabhat al-Nusra affiliated “Karama brigade”, in the southern city of Daraa.

A military source told SANA that the army conducted a special operation against a gathering of terrorists in Daraa Balad neighborhood in the southern city of Daraa where a number of terrorists leaders were killed incuding al-Zoubi, while others were injured.

Meanwhile, a group of terrorists’ members were killed and injured and their weapons were destroyed in an operation targeting their gatherings in Attman town in the northern countryside of the Province.

Idleb 

The Syrian army air force targeted the Takfiri terrorist  hideouts and movements  in Khan Sheikhoun and  al-Tamane’a towns in the southern countryside of Idleb Province, which resulted in destroying hideouts and vehicles for Jaish al-Fateh terrorist organization.

Sources on the ground told SANA that army units carried out operations targeting hideouts of terrorists from the terrorist group known as “Jund al-Aqsa” in Khan Sheikhoun and east of al-Maasara and al-Tamane’a, destroying a number of them and killing at least six terrorists.

Lattakia

In the coastal province of Lattakia, the army and armed forces units, backed by popular defense groups, killed a big number of terrorists and destroyed their weapons during expanding military operations in the north-eastern side of the province and the hills surrounding Ghammam town.

The artillery destroyed dens and gatherings of Takfiri terrorists in Al-Karoura mountain, Arafeet, Ocober, al-Dughmoshlieh, al-Zwaik, Deir Hanna and Katef al-Ghader and Katef al-Ghanama in the north eastern countryside of Lattakia.

Terrorists suffered heavy losses in personnel and equipment while big numbers of them fled towards the Turkish borders.

Terrorists acknowledged on their social media pages the death of 36 of their members in the province.

Aleppo

More ISIS terrorists killed and injured and their vehicles destroyed as the Syrian army air force targeted their hideouts and fortresses in al-Sheikh Ahmad, Um Arkileh, Tal Ahmar and Rasem al-Abed in the eastern countryside of Aleppo Province.

Hama

The army air force inflicted heavy losses upon Jabhat al-Nusra-linked terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment after targeting their hideouts in the villages of al-Qasabiyeh and Skaik in Hama countryside.

While canvassing the hills surrounding Jub al-Zarour area, the army seized large amounts of weapons, munitions, IEDs rigged for detonations, and gas cylinders filled with explosives which are used by terrorists to shell civilian areas, in addition to locating a number of terrorists’ bases and field hospitals.

Sources on the ground said that at least 8 terrorists were killed in army operations in Skaik hill, including Faraj al-Deeb and Abdelmajid al-Derbas, the latter having been a leader in “Ahrar al-Cham Islamic Movement” terrorist organizaiton.

Other army units carried out special operations targeting terrorists’ concentrations east of al-Latamneh and in the towns of Atshan, Maarkabbeh, and Morek, killing at least 9 terrorists and destroying a tank, a rocket launching base, 3 machinegun-equipped vehicle, and one pickup truck.

Homs

The Syrian army air force targeted the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) sites in the village of al-Sawaneh al-Sharqiyeh, southwest of Palmyra city, and east of Jeb al-Jarrah town and the village of Hawarin and at the surrounding of Mahin town in the countryside of the central Homs province.

The army destroyed a number of the ISIS machinegun-equipped vehicles and sites with all terrorists and weapons and ammunition inside them.

Meanwhile, the terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media websites the killing of one of the ISIS self-claimed leader, nicknamed Haj Hassan Deirbalabawi in addition to terrorist Nizar Abu Shanab.

An Army unit killed more than 40 terrorists in the eastern part of al-Hyal mountain towards al-Bayarat-Tadmur in the eastern countryside of Homs.

Army units thwarted a terrorist attack by ISIS on Maksar al-Hisan village and Toloul al-Hawa towards Um Sahrij and Unk al-Hawa villages east of Homs city.
