Damascus, SANA-Vice President, Dr. Najah al-Attar, offered on Thursday condolences on the Iranian pilgrims who have passed away in the catastrophe of Mina, Mecca.
Al-Attar, in a press statement at the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, expressed condolences for families of the pilgrims and the Iranian friendly people, hoping quick recovery for the wounded.
She said that those who were responsible for this catastrophe have to be brought to justice.
Al-Attar appreciated stances of Iran in support of the Arab just causes, on top, the Palestinian cause.
For his part, Assistant Regional Secretary of al-Baatah Arab Socialist Party Hilal al-Hilal expressed regret for the death of this large number of the pilgrims, saying “We are here today to offer our sincerest condolences, as government and people, to families of the Iranian martyrs.”
Other Syrian senior officials, ministers and party officials also offered condolences on this tragedy.
