Tuesday weather: Rainfalls in different provinces, temperatures to rise

Damascus, SANA- Different amounts of rainfalls were registered in the Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours, the heaviest of which were in Lattakia 29 mm and in Homs 37.5 mm while the registered amount of rainfalls in Tartous reached 2.5 mm and in Quneitra 3 mm.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Tuesday bulletin that the temperatures will gradually rise to become above average in most areas as the country is being affected by a superficial high air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general, while the weather will be misty in the eastern and al-Badiya “desert” areas.

The wind will be northwesterly with a light to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low in height.

Tomorrow, temperatures will continue to rise to become from 2 to 3 degrees above average and the skies will be clear in general with some scattered clouds.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 32/18, Homs 30/17, Lattakia 30/20, Aleppo 29/17 and Hama 34/18.
