Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Ministry sent on Monday two identical letters to the UN Secretary General and President of Security Council on the two terrorist explosions in al-Hasaka city.
The letters said that armed terrorist organizations perpetrated today, on September 14th, 2015 a new terrorist crime against civilians in al-Hasaka where two suicide terrorists blew themselves up with two car bombs in Khashman and al-Mahata neighborhoods, killing more than 26 civilians and injuring 100 others, most of them children and women.
The Ministry added that this terrorist crime coincides with the start of the new educational year when 4 million students join their schools.
“The bloody crime is a continuation of a series of systematized, terrorist crimes being carried out by armed terrorist organizations, like the Islamic state in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), Jabhat al-Nusra and Jaish al-Islam to intimidate civilians, prevent them from going to their work and school and paralyze their lives.” The Ministry said.
The letters called on the Security council to adhere to its commitments to combating terrorism and pursuing terrorist, extremist organizations in cooperation and coordination with the Syrian government who has used all its efforts to fight terrorism in Syria on behalf of the whole world and in defense of human values and international peace and security.
“These terrorist acts would have never been perpetrated unless a direct support from some countries, like Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar,” the letters continued.
The letters added “while the Syrian government reaffirms its willingness to combat terrorism, and its determination to assume its constitutional duty in defense of its people, it calls on UN Secretary General and Security Council to condemn this criminal act and assume their responsibilities in combating terrorism through implementing Security Council relevant resolutions, particularly resolutions No. 2170, 2178 and 2199.”
