Medical aid distributed to displaced residents of al-Yarmouk Camp

Damascus Countryside, SANA- Supported by the Syrian government and under the auspices of the Higher Relief Committee and the governorate of Damascus Countryside, the General Authority for Palestine Arab Refugees (GAPAR) distributed on Wednesday medicine and chlorine water purification tablets to residents of al-Yarmouk Camp.

The aid is allocated to those who are now temporarily staying in the nearby towns of Yalda, Babila and Beit Sahm in Damascus Countryside.

Ali Mustafa, the GAPAR Director General said in a statement to SANA that the aid included antibiotics, brine solutions and 200 000 chlorine water purification tablets, pointing out that a medical team had offered treatment and medicines for the ill in sync with continued distribution of food packages, medicine other items to people who have been displaced from Yarmouk Camp who are staying in Zainab al-Hilaliyeh center in al-Tadamon area.

Residents of the terrorist-besieged Yarmouk Camp in southern Damascus were forced to flee their homes in April after terrorists from ISIS entered the area with the help of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization.
