Homs, SANA – The Environment Department in cooperation with other directorates in Homs Province launched on Wednesday a clean-up campaign in the city, with the aim of improving the environmental situation.
Homs governor Talal al-Barazi, attending the event, hailed the efforts exerted by the public sector institutions in Homs, which included electricity, sewer systems, water and roads.
Al-Barazi, inspecting the workshops and maintenance teams, called for joining efforts as to rehabilitate all what was damaged by the armed terrorist groups as to facilitate the return of all economic activities to the city.
A number of participants in the campaign expressed eagerness for getting involved into more such activities in a bid to restore normalcy to life in the city.
