Damascus, SANA – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad on Sunday met Director of the Political Bureau at the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) in Damascus, Ambassador Anwar Abdul-Hadi, discussing with him the latest developments and political activities in the region.
Mikdad denounced the heinous crime committed by Israeli settlers against al-Dawabsha family when they burned down the family’s house, killing an infant child and his father, describing it as a war crime and calling for the UN to try the Israeli entity which ignores international legitimacy.
He also asserted that Syria supports the Palestinian people and their struggle to claim their just rights, voicing support for Palestine’s efforts to have the Security Council issue a decision on setting a timetable to end occupation and establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
For his part, Abdul-Hadi voiced support for finding a political solution in Syria based on dialogue among Syrians and aiding them in their battle against terrorism.
