Damascus, SANA-Petroleum Minister Suleiman al-Abbas discussed on Thursday with Ambassador of Venezuela in Damascus Imad Sa’ab cooperation between the two countries in the field of oil and gas.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed means of activating agreements signed between Syria and Venezuela in order to accelerate phases of carrying out project of Furqlus refinery.
The Minister called on Venezuelan companies to invest in the oil and gas projects in Syria.
Ambassador Sa’ab, for his part, expressed confidence in the possibility of creating various cooperation opportunities, particularly as the Venezuelan government has the desire to activate cooperation in all fields, particularly in energy in Syria.
