Damascus, SANA-Electricity Minister Imad Khamis discussed on Thursday with the regional director of the The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Samuel Rizk steps implemented with the program to support electricity sector in Syria and improve the situation of energy generating stations and provide spare parts for them.
During the meeting, the Minister hoped the program’s efforts on supporting electricity in the country would be succeeded.
He said that the Syrian state has offered great support for the investments in electricity sector and given a lot of martyrs in order to conduct the energy to every Syrian citizen all over the country.
Rizk, for his part, appreciated cooperation presented by the Ministry to have the UNDP efforts succeed in backing electricity sector, explaining the program’s vision in the field of investment with renewable energies.
