Venezuelan plane with 13 tons of aid to Lebanese arrivals lands in Damascus Airport

Damascus, SANA- A plane loaded with 13 tons of aid from Venezuela arrived at Damascus International Airport on Sunday as part of humanitarian efforts to support and assist arrivals from Lebanon to Syria who fled their country amid the ongoing Israeli aggression.

The humanitarian assistance included more than 13 tons of food, medical and relief supplies intended for the Lebanese people who had been forced to leave their homeland and head for Syria because of Israel’s barbaric war on their country, Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Damascus, Jose Biomorgi said in a press statement.

Biomorgi added that this initiative is a message of solidarity from the people and government of Venezuela with the peoples of the region against Israel’s war of extermination.

The Venezuelan Ambassador emphasized that despite the harsh blockade and difficulties it faces, Venezuela stands by the side of its friends in difficult times, and this is part of his country’s foreign policy and that of the Bolivarian Revolution.

In turn, Assistant Minister of Local Administration and Environment for Environmental Affairs Moataz Duaji drew attention to the fact that the Venezuelan aid shipment came to support Syria in assisting arrivals from brotherly Lebanon.

Duaji extended thanks for the Venezuelan government and people for constantly standing by Syria, particularly during the catastrophe of the earthquake which rocked Syria last year.
