Homs, SANA – With the participation of mass popular, religious and official figures, a campaign saluting martyrs and expressing gratitude to their sacrifices kicked off on Saturday in al-Thabitiyeh village in Homs eastern countryside.
The participants highlighted the importance of national unity in the battle against terrorism and in the reconstruction staged after restoring peace and security.
Homs governor Talal al-Barazi said the campaign aims at strengthening the national unity and highlighting its role in fighting terrorism and terrorists.
The campaign had started in Homs city and is being carried out in many areas in Homs countryside. The event was attended by members of the Russian media delegation currently in a visit to the province to have a first-hand look at the situation there.
