New York, SANA-The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), strongly condemns the Israeli assassination of Hamas chief, calling the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh the Zionist regime’s terrorist act and a clear violation of international laws and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“The assassination of political leaders, journalists, media professionals and innocent citizens, including women and children, in the occupied Palestinian territories and other countries in the region by the Israeli entity is a serious threat to international peace and security and hinders ongoing diplomatic efforts for permanent and sustainable ceasefire in Gaza. “The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted the movement as saying in a statement.
The statement asserted that criminal acts aimed at terrorizing the general public, a group or specific individuals for any reason, anywhere and by anyone, cannot be justified under any circumstances.
The statement also expressed serious concern about the lack of accountability for Israeli actions and violations against the Palestinian people and other nations in the region, denouncing the Israeli regime for its total disregard for UN carter, resolution, the International Court of Justice and other international legal obligations.
