Mikdad congratulates Egypt’s new Foreign Minister on assuming post

Damascus, SANA-Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, congratulated Mr. Badr Abdel Ati, the New Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of Egypt on assuming his new post.

In a telephone call, the two ministers stressed the historical relations that bind the peoples of the two brotherly countries in the Syrian Arab Republic and the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the importance of implementing what has been reached by the leaders of the two countries, Presidents Bashar al-Assad and Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during their latest phone call.

In a relevant context, the two ministers discussed developments of the situation in the region and stressed the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two sides on various issues of common interest, in a way that contributes to enhancing the joint Arab action, particularly in light of the recent dangerous developments taking place in the Arab region.
