Arab League council condemns Israeli attacks on Syria, calls for ending genocide against Palestinians

Cairo, SANA-The Arab League Council condemned on Thursday the repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory, calling on the UN Security Council to curb them and stop the crime of genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, warning that these aggressive practices would increase the chances of sliding into regional escalation.

The Council, in a decision at the conclusion of its extraordinary session held today in Cairo at the level of delegates, said the attacks by the Israeli entity on Syria represents a blatant violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity in violation of international law and the Disengagement Agreement, reaffirming support for Syria in exercising its right to defend its land and people.

In the same context, the Council also condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon and the necessity for exerting international pressure to prevent “Israel” from launching a massive aggressive war against it and obliging it to end its occupation of the remaining Lebanese lands in Shebaa Farms.

The League Council warned of more Israeli crimes of genocide against the Palestinian people and its refusal to abide by Security Council resolutions related to ceasefire, calling on international community to bring Israeli war officers into justice.
