Aleppo, SANA- Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mashouh, reviewed the restoration works at the entrance to the Aleppo Citadel, and at the National Library in Aleppo city un away to rehabilitate the reading, archiving and meeting halls, all of which were damaged as a result of the earthquake that struck Syria last year.
Dr. Mashouh told SANA reporter that Aleppo has always been a home for culture, writers and artists, and a beauty for plastic, cultural, intellectual and architectural art, and the greatest example is the archaeological monument evident in Aleppo Citadel, which it is ready to open its doors to visitors, tourists and cultural events.
She pointed out that the national cadres of scholars and archaeologists carried out all the rehabilitation and restoration works, and these works increased their experience.
Director of Antiquities and Museums in Aleppo, Dr. Sakher Alabi, noted that the rehabilitation and restoration work at the main entrance to Aleppo Citadel included the facade, ceilings, and places.
He added that the work is still underway to implement new projects to restore and rehabilitate the bridge carried on columns, and Ayyubid Mosque and its minaret inside the castle.
