Martyrdom of Iranian president and his accompanying delegation

Tehran, SANA-The Iranian News Agency announced on Monday the martyrdom of Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian, and the delegation accompanying them as a result of the helicopter crash that was carrying them in East Azerbaijan Province.

The agency added that the Iranian Cabinet held an emergency session headed by the Iranian First vice-president Mohammad Mokhber, following the martyrdom of President Raisi and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The helicopter carrying the Iranian President, Foreign Minister, and a number of officials made an emergency landing in East Azerbaijan Province, northwest of Iran, due to bad weather conditions.
