Health Ministry signs Country Cooperation Strategy with (WHO)

Damascus, SANA-The Ministry of Health has signed Monday country cooperation strategy (CCY)with the World Health Organization (WHO) until 2025.

That came during a meeting held Monday at the building of the Health Ministry.

Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan al- Ghobash, said that signing the strategy affirms the joint commitment to work on agreed priorities and enhances the organization’s long history of supporting and agreeing with national development priorities.

“WHO Regional Director visit to the Eastern Mediterranean, Dr. Hanan Balkhi, included an overview of the health situation and identification of work priorities, with the aim of increasing coordination between the Ministry and the organization, pointing out that the Regional Director is seeking to launch a set of advanced and important programs and objectives in it”Dr. al-Ghobash said.

In turn, Balkhi explained that the agreement will be renewed in light of the global organization’s partnership with Syria, noting that old agreements and partnerships were discussed to rearrange priorities in light of the difficult circumstances, in addition to regional and climate problems.

Dr. Balkhi stated in a press statement that the organization is actively seeking to develop the partnership with the Ministry in terms of assistance in providing medicines and medical aid to citizens.

“In addition to many initiatives that are being worked on in all countries of the region with the aim of providing health services and treatments to everyone in a timely manner”She added .
