Raisi: War on Gaza unmasked true face of West

Tehran, SANA-Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi affirmed that Western officials had concealed their authoritarian and anti-human rights nature behind deceptive slogans and advocacy for these values. However, the war on Gaza has lifted the veil on this Western façade.

The Iranian News Agency (IRNA) quoted Raisi as saying on Sunday, “the world is witnessing the confrontation between the “current of honor” represented by the protesting students and the “current of evil” represented by officials who violate the law, human rights and freedoms.

He pointing out to crackdown on pro-Palestinian protests revealing unmasked the “authoritarian and anti-human rights face” of the West

President Raisi expressed deep regret over the crackdown on pro-Palestinian protests at campuses across the US and other Western countries. He said the heavy-handed tactics used by police to break up student encampments in support of Gaza is a violation of the rights of students, professors as well as freedom of expression, and human rights.

He stressed that the steadfastness of the students of these universities will impose a new deterrence equation in the face of Zionist crimes and Washington’s position in support of them.
