Iranian Foreign Ministry condemns Israeli terrorist attack on its consulate in Damascus

Tehran, SANA- Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Wednesday Israeli terrorist attack on its consulate in Damascus.

“The Israeli entity is dangerously trying to expand the scope of war and is sacrificing security and peace to achieve its goals,” Foreign Ministry said in a statement, warning of the repercussions of Israeli adventures and expanding the circle of conflict.

The statement added: “The bombing of our consulate in Damascus stems from Israel’s inability and strategic confusion as a result of its failure in Gaza, as the occupation is trying now to bug out of its political and international isolation after its failure to confuse the capabilities of the resistance in Gaza.”

The Foreign Ministry affirmed that Iran reserves its right to respond decisively to this aggression in accordance with international laws, and expects the Security Council, the United Nations and its Secretary-General to have a necessary and prompt reaction to this crime.
