Muscat, SANA- The Sultanate of Oman has condemned the Israeli terrorist attack that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus, stressing that it is a violation of the sovereignty of the Syrian Arab Republic and all international diplomatic laws and immunities, calling for the protection and preservation of diplomatic and consular missions.
In a statement cited by the official Oman News Agency, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to stop the escalation in the region, voicing rejection of the aggression and other actions that threaten security and stability.
The statement expressed condolences to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
Earlier Monday, the Israeli enemy carried out a terrorist attack targeting the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, which led to the death of a number of innocent people.
